Music Workshops and Concerts
WORKSHOPS:
Workshops may run for 30 or 45 minutes, for 10-25 students ideally. The maximum number is strictly 30.
Workshops may consist of
- Warm up activities
- Basic rhythm and beat
- Rhythmic or sung rounds
- Mood and music
- Theme and music: themes may be the farm, garden, Australian animals, sea, transport etc
- Styles of music: for example, Aboriginal music or Indonesian Music or Rock’n’Roll. There is an input time here with listening and practical activities
- Composition
- Performance to each other
- Singing: both new songs and songs children may know
You may choose to give Nina a theme to work around, or just to give the children a broad musical experience. You can choose one workshop, or a series of them, depending on your needs.

CONCERTS:
Concerts run for about 45 minutes and are available for 30 or more students.
The concert is an interactive experience for children with mostly new material, from the “Kookaburra Laughs” CD, as well as some favourites.
A variety of things are used including puppets, instruments, movement and dance and audio visual aids in both the workshops and concerts.
COSTS:
All workshops and concerts include a copy of the CD “Kookaburra Laughs”, including the karaoke versions of songs for students to sing along to later. Additional copies of CD’s for families are available on line at the above address. Also included in the price is a booklet of song words which you will be able to photocopy for teachers/students.
Workshops:
30 minutes $120
45 minutes $150
2 or more consecutive workshops (on one day) - subtract $10 per workshop
2 or more workshops with the same group over two or more weeks – subtract $10 per workshop
Concerts:
40-45 minutes $180 up to 40 children
additional children add $3.50 per person
Workshop and Concert packages:
One 45 minute workshop and concert: (total 90 minutes):
$280 + $3.50 for more than 40 children to concert
Two consecutive 45 minute workshops and concert: (total 135 minutes):
$380 + $3.50 for more than 40 children to concert
Please note that travelling expenses may be incurred if the distance from the Adelaide CBD is 75 kms or more.
